If you miss Tom and toonami, they brought it back a month or 2 ago... it's on adultswim on saturdays from 12-6 i think

I have a good family friend, who's father was a professional boxer. Look up Tony DeMarco. That is his dad. You guys should watch those old fights when they went for rounds and rounds until someone K.O.ed.

I remember when they had to take their shoes off if they were gona kick during their fight. nothing but rednecks and cutoff jeans in the start
Bartimaeus - January 22, 2010, 7:08 pm, #153790
I love UFC, too. No weight classes or mandatory short shorts...the glory days of Royce Gracie...
CANADA - January 22, 2010, 7:05 pm, #153789
Did you ever watch swamp buggy racing? racing through the sippy hole was the best. or what about early ufc? I remember watching when there wasn't any weight classes. I even seen a guy go into the ring with only 1 boxing glove as a style
Bartimaeus - January 22, 2010, 7:05 pm, #153788
lol I love the show. As you can probably tell, I have a bit of thing for giant robots. Not to mention, the beauty of that show is that the main characters look like stereotypical anime fans. lol
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 7:03 pm, #153787
Lol! I just made a Megas XLR poster. Hope it gets approved.
Bartimaeus - January 22, 2010, 7:01 pm, #153786
I'm not completely sure, but I think Big-O was an Adult Swim thing. Great show, though. "In the name of God, ye not guilty!"
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 6:58 pm, #153785
Dude, Megas XLR ftw.
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 6:58 pm, #153784
Well yeah. I was just saying what Toonami was in general. But you are right. Some of the best shows came from there. Did Big-O ever play on it? I can't remember.
Bartimaeus - January 22, 2010, 6:57 pm, #153783
lol Canada, you need to google Megas XLR. As a car-nut, it's right up your ally.
CANADA - January 22, 2010, 6:53 pm, #153780
maybe i hate anime because i missed all those shows. I grew up on the good stuff
Bartimaeus - January 22, 2010, 6:52 pm, #153779
Toonami was more than that, man. It introduced us to anime with great shows like...Ruroni Kneshin, gundam Wing, and Dragon Ball Z. Hell, even the amerime like Megas XLR was good.
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 6:50 pm, #153777
(3/3) but with afterschool events, the general demographic, 13 - 16, slowly declined. As the 16YOs grew up, they quit watching. As the 13YOs grew up, they got too busy. It really lasted only 5 - 6 years. : / Good times man. Good times.
CANADA - January 22, 2010, 6:49 pm, #153776
I was watching dream car garage and lawn mower racing at 13. guess thats why i missed it
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 6:48 pm, #153775
(2/3) The show took place on a spaceship. This guy, Tom, was almost a narrator and would move the shows along, post updates, and prizes. He went through many changes, then CN canceled it due to lack of ratings. It came on just after school...
Treehodger - January 22, 2010, 6:47 pm, #153774
Toonami was something on Cartoon Network. It was pretty much the same as [adult swim], but for the age group of like, I'd say, 13 - 16. Action-packed shows, no morals, but no swearing, sex, or drugs. Think of like a censored version of [as] and you got it
CANADA - January 22, 2010, 6:40 pm, #153773
what is toonami?
randomosity - January 22, 2010, 5:42 pm, #153764
well said my good man and i do say i quite miss those old days of my youth when i would watch the original toonami and then the epic moment when tom got killed by the goo and then come back looking more awesome but anyways 5L

Well, with compliment of the Phoenix Missile, the Tomcat wasn't seen. But when it is seen, it is instantly recognized

Atually, with a compliment of Phoenix missiles, they are not recognized as often as bandits might hope.
